Abigail Corr was originally born in Baltimore, Maryland but lived in Easton, Pennsylvania for the majority of her childhood. She began attending Stage Door Studio under the direction of Patricia Bartholomew in Wilson, PA at the age of five years old. For high school, Abigail attended the Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Performing Arts located in Bethlehem, PA. As a dance major at LVPA, Abigail received excellent training and took part in various performances of different dance styles and genres.
In May 2016, Abigail graduated magna cum laude from The University of Hartford's Hartt School with a B.F.A. in dance, and an emphasis in Ballet Pedagogy. During her studies at The Hartt School, she had the opportunity to perform in both restaged ballet and classical modern works, as well as in new works choreographed by members of Hartt's dance faculty and guest choreographers. Along with performing, Abigail had the opportunity to take part in teaching internships for a total of two semesters at The Hartt School Community Division and two semesters in the Hartford Magnet School. Other dance education includes attendance at Bates Dance Festival, Complexions Contemporary Ballet summer program, Rioult summer intensive, and many more.
Abigail currently still resides in the Hartford, Connecticut area where she completed schooling and is currently on faculty at three dance schools: Ballet Theater Company, Cheshire Performing Arts Academy, and Premier Dance. Additionally, Abigail works as an administrative assistant for Ballet Theater Company and is a freelance dancer and choreographer.
