Doug Eicher
Doug has more than 20 years of business, technology sales, and marketing experience leading and building teams. Doug currently leads the sales organization for Schoolwires in Pennsylvania, an innovative education technology company focused on advancing teacher and parent and student communications to improve teacher effectiveness and student outcomes. Doug is also a member of the angle investment group in Boston, LaunchPad Venture Group. Doug recently helped to startup a number of mobile software ventures in Boston and previously led sales and marketing teams for SchoolNet in New York, a leading provider of data-driven education software that increases student achievement, teacher quality and operational efficiency in public districts across the country. In 2000, Doug joined Apple as the Northeast Area Director, where he was responsible for transforming the education sales, services, and marketing organization. Prior to joining Apple Computer, Doug worked with Microsoft for 10 years building commercial, public sector, and education enterprise sales and marketing organizations in Boston, New York, and Southern California, and Hawaii.
Doug has a bachelor’s degree in Music Performance and Business from the Hartt School at the University of Hartford. Doug serves on the board of Trustees for the Interlochen Center for the Arts.
Doug’s youngest daughter is a dancer with the Ballet Theatre Company and Academy; his daughter Julie also danced with BTC and is currently a dance major at the University of Cincinnati’s College of Music; Julie is also dancing in Dayton Ballet's 2009 and 2011 performances of the Nutcracker. Doug’s eldest daughter, Lauren, is an outstanding actress and stage performer, is actively performing in a number of Boston productions, and recently completed her undergraduate degree in theater at Boston University.
