BTC is primarily a volunteer organization run by a dedicated Executive Director, active Board of Directors, and many committed parent volunteers. Despite a challenging economy and reduced grant funding in recent years, BTC has continued to thrive and grow. Class enrollment is up 25% over last year; this season's Nutcracker achieved record high attendance, our summer program continues to grow, and our non-ballet classes are also taking off.
As we celebrate this growth, we also recognize that we have an opportunity to enhance our Board of Directors by adding new members who can add diversity, help us capitalize on our momentum, and make our organization even stronger. We are seeking both individuals who are connected to BTC via association with a dancer, as well as those who have no connection to BTC and who can bring unique skill sets, access to grant monies, perspective on other arts/not for profit organizations, or educational expertise. For those parents seeking a board position, we especially invite parents of Creative Movement and Level 2/3 dancers to respond.
