Kerri Allison Smith holds a BFA in Acting with an independent study in Dance from the University of Connecticut. On a four year scholarship at Uconn, Miss Smith excelled in Shakespeare and Jazz Dance, studying under Dr. Nafe Katter, Bob McDonald, David Allan Stern, Alyson Portelance-Ayer, Lynn Grossi, Dawn Lee Repoli, and Jean Sabatine. Miss Smith has appeared in over 60 theater productions, produced for DFX Entertainment LLC, and directed 15 shows. Miss Smith is also a title-winning ballroom and latin dancer. As a dance teacher, Miss Smith has taught at over 25 studios in Connecticut and New York, taking students to perform in National Dance Competitions, Orange Bowl Halftime Shows, the Hartford Expo, The XL Center, and more. In addition, Miss Smith owned her own studio, Pure Imagination Theater and Dance, LLC. where she taught jazz, tap, ballet, Zumba, and acting. Miss Smith currently teaches dance and fitness classes at gyms and studios, and is an English and Dance teacher at Northwest Catholic High School.
