Lynda Stone is a partner with Stone Howley Architects, LLC, an architecture firm based in West Hartford, CT, specializing in residential, institutional and commercial design. Prior to establishing Stone Howley, Lynda worked under her own company, Lynda Stone Architects, LLC, formed in 2007. Lynda was previously Managing Principal of Becker + Becker, an architecture and development firm in Fairfield, CT, where she worked since 1995 on various mixed-use programs, historic preservation and institutional design in New York and Connecticut. Lynda received her Master of Architecture degree from University of Pennsylvania and Bachelor of Arts in Architecture degree from Lehigh University.
Lynda is an active member of the American Institute of Architects Connecticut Chapter, and she founded and annually co-chaired Connecticut’s Canstruction event for ten years. Canstruction is an international program that teams architects with students in a design-build competition out of canned goods that raises food for local food banks. Lynda has served on the board of the Junior League of Stamford-Norwalk and has chaired and participated in numerous projects to assist in the educational development of children.
Lynda lives in West Hartford with her husband, Andrew Zelman, and two children, Ben and Sarah. Sarah is seven years old and has danced with Ballet Theatre Academy since age three. Ben, who is ten years old, performs in musical theatre with various companies and has also enjoyed taking dance with Ballet Theatre Academy.
