Michele has been an educator and volunteer in the community for most of her adult life, and joined Ballet Theatre Company’s Board of Directors in 2010. She worked for Aetna Life & Casualty for over 14 years as a Human Factors Engineering Usability Consultant and Training & Development Coordinator where she educated over 300 people in Connecticut and California.
After her children were born, she became a Television Production Assistant and Instructor for Nutmeg Community Television. Michele soon became the Recording Secretary for the Plainville Area Cable Television Advisory Council, a state mandated non-profit organization within a cable franchise area.
She was elected Vice President of Gaffney Elementary School’s Parent Teacher Association, then became an in-house volunteer at Griswold Elementary School. Michele served as the Chairman of the Cooperative Nursery School of New Britain’s Board of Directors where she later joined their staff as the lead Pre-Kindergarten Teacher. Her passion in the classroom continued when she worked as a substitute in the Berlin School District.
Michele also functioned as the Connecticut representative for New England Doberman Rescue, as well as a religious educator at the Universalist Church of West Hartford, the Media & Marketing Liaison for Berlin Boy Scout Troup 41, and a freelance contributor and photographer for The Patch. Michele is currently a Supervisor at Consignment Originals, where she manages social media and assists the store manager with daily operations, floor-set designs, and customer relations.
Michele’s hobbies include yoga, dance, organic gardening, digital photography, and observing the wonders of nature. She is an advocate of the arts, eco-friendly consumerism, and supports animal rescue organizations such as ReGAP (Retried Greyhounds As Pets). Michele lives in Berlin and shares her home with a menagerie of pets, husband Michael, son Mason, and daughter Margot who has been a student at Ballet Theatre Company since 2008.
