DAMIEN SNOW

Performing as the Dance Master in Apres Degas

Damien Alexander Snow was born in Litchfield, Connecticut. He began studying ballet at The Hartt School Community Division at the age of six and studied privately with Samantha Dunster and Eddy Tovar. He danced various children’s roles in full-length productions of Coppélia, directed by Bruce Marks, and The Nutcracker, performed multiple solo variations, and played young Abel in the musical production, Children of Eden, with the University of Hartford theater department.


Damien placed third in the combined men’s and women’s classical dance category at the Youth America Grand Prix semi-finals in 2013, 2016, and 2018 and competed in the 2013 and the 2018 YAGP Finals in New York. At age twelve, he attended The School of American Ballet where he performed a full season of The Nutcracker as a soldier with the New York City Ballet. The following year, he earned a merit scholarship to The Rock School for Dance Education professional division program and studied privately with Telmo Moreira. At age sixteen, he was awarded a full merit scholarship to the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School where he studied with Ethan Stiefel and Robert La Fosse.


Damien has attended various summer dance programs on full scholarship, including Boston Ballet School, Pennsylvania Ballet School, Orlando Ballet School, and The Harid Conservatory. He has danced various roles as a trainee at The Florida Ballet and as a guest performer with Ballet Arts in New Jersey and Ballet Hartford.
